Occasionally customers want to reduce the amount of mist coming from their Mistbox.

We're working on a water regulation feature, but in the meantime we recommend the following solutions to resolve this:

Adjust your installation to allow more time for the mist to evaporate before it reaches the ground

Try mounting the mistbars higher and make sure they're tilted upwards, so that it takes longer for the mist to reach the ground and has more time to evaporate.

Remove one of the mistbars

Removing one of the mistbars will definitely reduce the amount of mist. That said, we don't recommend this option unless it's truly needed, since reducing the amount of mist could negatively impact savings.

If you choose to remove a mistbar, complete these steps...

1. Start by familiarizing yourself with the mistbars. The first mistbar has a loose tube and connects to the control unit. The last mistbar has a valve at the end of it.

2. Remove the last mistbar by pressing into the push-to-connect fitting and pulling the tubing out of the third mistbar.

3. Then, remove the valve from the last mistbar and insert it into the third mistbar. This video shows how to remove and insert the valve.

If these options do not resolve this issue, please reach out to us at support@mistbox.com. Include any photos and/or videos of your setup to expedite the process.
